This list, today stored in the state archive Bremen (council archive, Signature: 2-R.11.p.3.b.2.Bd.1), is a transcript of Sea licenses that council archivist Syndic Dr. jur. Heinrich Smidt (1806 – 1878) has made from 1832 to 1843. Smidt probably had a collection of about 1472 sea licenses that he evaluated and summarized into a list. Completion is expected but can’t be checked, since we don’t have the originals.
