To develop this register, a transcription of marriages from 1715 to 1735 has been evaluated, since the original is lost. This register was completed with second transcription for the period from 1774 to 1802 (to fill gaps etc.)
Only a few marriages were contracted in the Saint Peters cathedral since only a limited group of people had the right. The reasoning behind that is explained in a quote from “Blätter der Maus”, booklet 11 page 2.
